The position

Job overall purpose

  • To secure best-in-class functionality and user experiences of Cardlays products

Key areas of responsibility

  • Conducting user research and testing
  • Developing wireframes and task flows based on user needs
  • Collaborating with Product Owners, UI and Developers to create intuitive, user friendly software

Key tasks

  • Understand product specifications and user psychology
  • Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback
  • Create personas through user research and data
  • Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
  • Work with UI designers and product owners to implement attractive designs
  • Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers
  • Follow competitor products and industry trends

Qualifications

Critical experience

  • Some years of experience with UX
  • Experienced working with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
  • Experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design

Skills

  • Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate UX findings, ideas and solutions to teams and clients.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • An active listener
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a relationship builder
  • Ability to navigate in complex environments using analytical skills and relationship building
  • Is proactive and open to involve feedback from all sources
  • Knows how to use facts and metrics to guide new feature development
  • You have excellent English language skills both orally and in writing
  • You are reliable, analytical and have a sound commercial and business sense and understanding
  • Can teach us something we don’t know or do
  • Ability to create a UX research pipeline and manage day to day customer interviews
  • Can present research findings in a structured and systematic way which can be used across departments as input towards their decision making.
  • Ability to facilitate design workshops with stakeholders and developer to drive a collaborative approach to solution discovery

Education

  • A relevant UX related education
