NORDIC EXPANSION

BJSS is expanding into the Nordic region and had recently established its first office based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The new team is set to grow rapidly to support top-tier organisations in Denmark as well as international clients. The initial ambition is to recruit more than 50 first-class consultants with expertise across design, strategy, technology, engineering, cloud, data and AI services.

As a Service Designer you will work with our clients in Denmark, the UK and across the world to deliver high-quality service design projects. You will work closely with a large team of some of the best service designers in the UK, the world’s leading service design scene.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the growth of a new office and will get involved in all aspects of the company, from business development, pre-sales, recruitment and delivering projects with our clients. That’s why we are not just looking for a great consultant, we are looking for entrepreneurial spirit and experience as well.

The position

Job overall purpose

  • To be a trusted partner to our clients, and lead projects from inception to delivery leveraging our robust service design approach and digital comptetencies.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Leading service design projects with clients delivering outcomes, not just outputs
  • Running workshops with clients and present deliverables to senior stakeholders
  • Collaborating with Product Owners, UI, technologists, tech architects and Developers to create intuitive, user friendly solutions
  • Reporting to the Head of BJSS Denmark (and SPARCK worldwide)

Key tasks

  • Work with top-tier clients to make sense and improve their digital services
  • Find creative ways to solve UX problems
  • Run Discoveries and complex fact finding projects
  • Make the complex simple to inspire action and help clients decide on the way forward
  • Collaborate with the client’s digital teams to design, prototype and deliver solutions
  • Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers
  • Provide thought leadership and digital advice to clients
  • Produce clear service blueprints and other design artifacts to bring solutions to life
  • Manage complex stakeholders and bring clients with you during a project

  • Best-in-class service design and user experiences acknowledge by partners, clients and users

Qualifications

Critical Experience

  • Some years of experience with UX and/or Service Design
  • Experienced working with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision
  • Experience in using (UX) design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of design thinking and user centred design
  • Experience in defining and leading design projects working alongside other disciplines
  • Experience running workshops with clients and present deliverables to senior stakeholder

Skills

  • A strategic mindset and ability to tell stories that enable other to see the way forward in complex environments
  • An ability to synthesise user insights, market data and global trends – and turning them into great user experiences
  • Collaborative mindset to work with clients and developers to bring designs to life, balancing user needs, business requirements and technical constraints
  • Ability to engage in usability testing to continuously iterate ideas and designs
  • A great sense of aesthetics and how to tell a story visually. An ability to make beautiful and clear digital artefacts is essential
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • An active listener
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a relationship builder
  • Ability to navigate in complex environments using analytical skills and relationship building
  • Proactive and open to involve feedback from all sources
  • You are reliable, analytical and have a sound commercial and business sense and understanding
  • Ability to create a UX research pipeline and manage day to day customer interviews
  • Fluent communicator in English

Education

No specific educational background is required as long as you have the right experience
